why I started ForgingMatt LLC
a few months into my weight loss journey, I was spending time in prayer and asking the Lord about His thoughts on my recording of this tedious journey. He pointed me to Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) which says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." i felt inspired.
a week or so later, I read Isaiah 54:16 (NIV) which reads, "it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work." at this point, the imagery of a forge was a winning mental model on my road ahead; i was already being shaped by the heat, pressure and purpose of my weight loss journey.
so, i wanted to continue documenting the process, having conversations, and sharing tools and resources that became critical to forging Matt.
